Job description role:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, maintain and support desktop systems based on helpdesk service requests.
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid system failures.
  • Set user access rights and permissions.
  • Maintain servers, computers, printers, Telephony and other software and hardware peripherals.
  • Take regular back-ups of server files and maintain disaster recovery operations.
  • Perform data center and network related tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolutions.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of software and hardware peripherals.
  • Provide job training to new hires as needed.
  • Provide assistance to other Administrators when requested.
  • Perform failure analysis and determine corrective action plans.
  • Plan and execute allotted work within deadlines and maintain records of daily tasks.
  • Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for system installations, configurations, upgrades and disaster recovery activities.
  • Install antivirus other required software on all required machines and oversee software license renewals.
Skills Required Need:

  • Expert knowledge of Windows 7, 8 and 10, Windows Servers (2008 & 2012).
  • Linux is a strong plus.
  • Strong in Windows AD user creations, permissions & Group policy.
  • Expert knowledge in DNS, DHCP & FTP servers administration.
  • Knowledge in VMware / Hper-V administration is a strong plus.
  • Expert knowledge of computer hardware, Telephony (EPABX) & basic networking.
  • Should be strong on IT asset management (hardware & software).
  • Should have knowledge in system hardening & working knowledge on any helpdesk system.
